Resume Reviews: Creating a Winning Resume
Resume reviews are one-on-one sessions where our staff or employer partners help you refine and polish your resume. They offer insights on formatting, content, and how to highlight your strengths and experiences effectively.
- Prepare a Draft: Bring a current version of your resume to the session. If you don’t have one yet, draft a basic resume outlining your experiences, skills, and accomplishments.
- Utilize SkillsFirst: As a UTPB student, you have access to our FREE resume builder SkillsFirst. You will just need to create your account with your student email.
- Be Open to Feedback: Listen carefully to the advisor’s suggestions and ask questions if something isn’t clear.
- Incorporate Changes: Update your resume based on the feedback and make sure to tailor it for specific job applications or internships.
