SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. The Customer Experience Specialist Intern will support the Customer Service department in enhancing customer experience processes. This internship offers a hands-on learning opportunity for students or recent graduates interested in project management, process improvement, and customer experience strategy. You will gain practical experience analyzing customer feedback, identifying improvement opportunities, and collaborating across departments to drive results.
What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)
While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:
- Analyze Customer Data:
- Evaluate customer feedback and metrics to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Assist in creating reports using raw data in Excel; knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
- Shadowing and Collaboration:
- Shadow Customer Service Managers during meetings and customer interactions to understand customer experience processes.
- Participate in cross-departmental meetings to learn about collaboration’s role in improving customer satisfaction.
- Communication Development:
- Develop and refine verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with customers and stakeholders.
- Learn best practices for crafting clear, concise, and professional messaging for customer communication.
- Process Improvement:
- Assist in evaluating processes across plants to identify opportunities for efficiency and improvement.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement innovative solutions.

Required Experience
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Project Management, Process Improvement, Hospitality, Business Development, Corporate Communications, or Business Administration.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI is preferred but not required.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to build reports and present findings clearly and effectively.
- Access to Microsoft Teams with video capabilities.
- Willing to travel up to 10% to observe plant processes and gather insights.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Interest in commercial strategy, product management, or market analysis.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
Education & Certifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Project Management, Process Improvement, Hospitality, Business Development, Corporate Communications, or Business Administration.
Travel & Working Environment
- 90% remote with occasional travel to plants for hands-on evaluations and team collaboration.
