Do you care about Ukraine and want to turn that passion into real, lasting impact?

The Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) is a 9-month (September to May), fully supported journey for civic-minded people ages 22–40 ready to become advocacy leaders in their own communities.

What you get:

  • A fully paid trip to Washington, DC for the Fall 2026 Ukraine Action Summit — travel and lodging covered
  • Hands-on training in coalition building, grassroots organizing, and leadership
  • Deep dive into US-Ukraine relations and the history behind the ongoing war
  • Mentorship to plan and launch your own advocacy event in your community — plus a grant to fund it
  • A certificate recognizing your leadership at program completion

For this cohort, we will select one participant from each of the five regions of the USA listed on the ACU website. No prior advocacy experience is required. We are looking for people with roots in their communities, a genuine commitment to Ukraine’s cause, are not currently enrolled in a full-time degree program, and who have the drive to grow as leaders.

Who should apply:

  • Ages 22–40
  • Passionate about Ukraine and civic engagement
  • Ready to commit to the full 9 months
