Overview:

The Trenton Makers program is an initiative focused on virtual workforce development and practical skills training. It provides interns with the opportunity to apply modern technical and vocational teaching methods to real-world educational operations. ULimo is seeking motivated and career-focused Online Career and Technical Education (CTE) Interns to help deliver and expand education solutions that improve digital engagement, student growth, and community learning. Interns will work directly in virtual environments, teaching various hands-on STEM courses and exploring administrative pathways to establish regional online school partnerships.

This internship provides hands-on experience evaluating technical educational needs, running active virtual classroom environments, and identifying opportunities to expand programmatic reach through digital institutional collaboration. Interns will collaborate on teaching, remote curriculum delivery, and business development projects while gaining exposure to the rapidly growing field of educational administration.

Responsibilities

  • Teach a variety of STEM and technical career-focused education courses directly to students via virtual classrooms.
  • Manage online learning platforms, digital tools, and remote technical instructional initiatives.
  • Support digital outreach, virtual school communication, and online partnership data collection.
  • Analyze school feedback to identify opportunities for improved remote program delivery.
  • Research school structures, e-learning contracting processes, and virtual partnership models.
  • Assist with evaluating online curriculum effectiveness and digital class engagement.
  • Document educational findings and prepare reports for leadership.
  • Collaborate on digital projects that improve community relations and educational impact.
  • Stay informed on advancements in modern instructional design and online teaching strategies.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Education, STEM, Communications, or a related field.
  • Interested in public teaching, online technical instruction, or building digital institutional partnerships.
  • Possess strong leadership, public speaking, and problem-solving skills in virtual environments.
  • Familiar with digital lesson planning, virtual student engagement techniques, or administrative tools.
  • Equipped with a reliable high-speed internet connection, webcam, and a quiet workspace.
  • Communicate excellently and show willingness to learn online school contracting and partnership logistics.
