Securing an Internship

Experiencing Triumph at Targa

Zach Venegas is a Falcon alumnus fulfilling a spring internship with Targa. “He’s done a phenomenal job this spring, so much so that a full-time offer was made for him to join our Engineering Development Program in May when his internship wraps up.” We are appreciative of our employer partners at Targa for offering numerous internships to Falcons and becoming a Career Champion.

Interning at Evans Energy Services

Evans Energy Services hosted two Falcons for a summer 2022 internship. EES interns pose with CEO, Mila Evans as they take pride in assisting with drill rig setup. Leslie (pictured on the right), recently graduated and accepted an engineering role with SLB in Alaska. Her internship with Evans provided her with valuable industry experience as she transition into a full-time role.

“IT” Will Be a Great Summer With Endeavor Energy

Rodrigo, a senior at UTPB, has landed an IT summer internship with Endeavor Energy Resources. He will receive guidance from a mentor while acquiring practical industry knowledge through hands-on work. We are thrilled for Rodrigo and express our gratitude to Endeavor for serving as an invaluable career supporter through our Career Champions Program.

Falcon Interns Soar Above the Rest

Juan Medina and three other students completed a summer internship with Mewborne Oil Company in the summer of 2022. During this time they were exposed to both field operation assignments in drilling completions and production-related work. “I can’t say enough wonderful things about Juan and all of our UTPB alumni.” Now, Mewborne has hired several students for full-time positions and continues to partner with UTPB as an employer Career Champion.

Securing the Future with a Cyber Security Internship

Senior, Amaya Pryor, has secured a summer internship with Tomorrow’s Leaders Today, Inc. . During her internship, she will gain practical experience, professional development, resume-building skills, and career exploration. “The sooner you get assistance from Career Services, the better chance you have of achieving your career goals. They have so many resources available to students that should be taken advantage of.” We are excited for her and this chance to expand her career knowledge and skills.

Early Bird Gets the Internship

Gabriel is a freshman electrical engineering student at UTPB. He will complete a summer internship in Chicago at Fermilab National Laboratory! Their interns have the opportunity to work hand in hand with their scientific, engineering, computing, and operations experts. They welcome both national and international applicants to apply for their internship opportunities.

Off to Michigan

Melany Azocar, a mechanical engineering student, has accepted an internship this summer in Michigan with Whirlpool. Their internship programs are designed to maximize student learning through challenging business-critical projects and impactful mentorship. Each intern is the owner of a project in their area and is assigned a Whirlpool leader to guide them from start to finish. We are eager to hear about her internship journey and experience.

Nursing Interns Get Their Blood Pumping

Well done to our Falcon students who are undergoing a nursing internship at Midland Memorial Hospital. Participating in Midland Memorial Hospital’s Nurse Internship Program can establish a strong foundation for nursing careers. This program provides valuable experiences in the acute care practice setting, helping students develop the necessary skills and confidence.

Eyes on EnterPRISE

This summer, Sakshi has secured an internship opportunity with Enterprise Holdings. The Enterprise management internship will help her build valuable business and leadership skills. Sakshi will complete intern projects, develop management and marketing strategies, and build relationships with customers and coworkers.
