Summary
Social media plays a significant role in showcasing the NFP brand, engaging with our audience and staying competitive in the digital landscape. To further bolster our online presence and provide a mutually beneficial learning experience, we are proposing the addition of a Social Media Intern to our team in 2024. This cost-effective resource will contribute fresh perspectives, increase platform activity and engagement and allow our experienced marketing professionals to focus on more strategic and complex aspects of their roles.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of social media marketing and contribute to the growth and visibility of the NFP brand. You will work closely with our marketing and brand teams, learning and implementing strategies to engage our audience across various platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation
- Generate engaging and relevant content for various social media channels, including Facebook, X, Instagram, and LinkedIn
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align content with overall brand messaging and goals
- Community Management
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions on social media platforms
- Foster positive interactions with our online community and address inquiries or concerns promptly
- Social Media Calendar Management
- Assist in developing and maintaining a content calendar to ensure a consistent posting schedule
- Coordinate with team members to gather content and plan campaigns
- Paid Social Media Advertising
- Support the execution of paid social media campaigns
- Assist in targeting strategies and monitoring campaign performance
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align paid social efforts with overall marketing objectives
- Analytics, Research and Reporting
- Track and analyze key social media metrics to measure the success of campaigns.
- Provide regular reports with insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Conduct research on competitors and trends to help improve our social media strategy.
- Stay Updated on Trends
- Keep abreast of industry trends and social media best practices to propose innovative ideas for our platforms.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with the design team to promote visually appealing graphics and multimedia content.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, English, Communications, or a related field, rising juniors and senior preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with major social media platforms and current trends.
- Basic understanding of social media analytics tools (Sprout Social, Google Analytics).
- Creativity and a passion for social media.
