Business Growth and Risk Specialist

Insurance Group of America (IGA)
Full-Time | Salary | Growth Track | Benefits

FLSA Classification: Exempt

About the Opportunity

Commercial insurance is one of the most stable, high-earning, and recession-proof sectors in the country. Every business needs it, it’s required by law, and it renews annually. IGA operates in a unique niche within this industry, working directly with contractors to help them secure the bonding capacity and risk structure they need to grow their companies.

This role is ideal for candidates interested in business, finance, risk management, and long-term client relationships. It combines analytical work, business development, and strategic advising within a career path that offers significant long-term financial upside.

What You’ll Do

As a Business Growth and Risk Specialist, you’ll support contractors as they grow — helping them understand their financial position, expand their bidding capacity, and structure their risk programs effectively.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Developing a pipeline of contractor relationships through proactive outreach
  • Introducing IGA’s specialized services to prospective clients
  • Learning how to evaluate contractor financials and creditworthiness
  • Helping clients secure payment and performance bonds
  • Advising clients on growth strategies, bidding opportunities, and risk structure
  • Coordinating with underwriting partners on behalf of clients
  • Building and managing a long-term book of business
  • Becoming a trusted advisor as clients scale their operations

Business development is a normal part of the early career. Over time, the role becomes increasingly advisory, relationship-driven, and strategic.

Why This Role Matters

Contractors cannot bid or win major public projects without the bonding capacity you help them secure. Because IGA solves the hardest problem contractors face, our team maintains a close ratio above 90 percent — far above industry standards.

You will directly impact the growth, stability, and long-term success of contractor businesses.

What You Can Expect

  • Comprehensive training in commercial risk, financial analysis, and bonding
  • Weekly mentorship from industry experts and senior leadership
  • A clear progression path toward owning your own client portfolio
  • A performance-based compensation model with strong long-term upside
  • A career with compounding income, year over year

This is a long-term career path, not a short-term position.
